Established in 2007, Vertis is a dynamic and independent asset management company, authorised by the Bank of Italy, which operates through eight closed-end investment funds, reserved for qualified investors, taking stakes in research projects, spin-offs, startups and SMEs and is the reference for investments in innovative Made in Italy.

Private equity is active with the “Vertis Capital” and “Vertis Capital Parallel” funds, while venture capital invests with the “Vertis Venture”, “Vertis Venture 2 Scaleup”, “Vertis Venture 3 Technology Transfer”, “Vertis Venture 4 Scaleup Lazio”, “Vertis Venture 5 Scaleup” and “Vertis Venture 6 Digital Sud” funds.

The SGR teams have consolidated international relationships and boast more than 200 years of cumulative experience in finance, consultancy, research and in management positions in large companies.

Rocco Corigliano

CHAIRMAN

President of Fondo Pensioni per il Personale Cariplo and Couselor of Brebemi SpA.

He was also president of Banca di Legnano, BpmVita, Alba Leasing, B.F. Holding SpA (Bonifiche Ferraresi), Fondazione Ticino Olona, counsellor of Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Giordano Dell’Amore, Permicro SpA, Banca Popolare di Milano, Banca Akros, Meliorbanca and Aedes BPM Real Estate SGR.

From1994 to 2014, Rocco was professor of Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the University of Bologna and was also a professor at Bocconi and Siena universities.

Amedeo Giurazza

FOUNDER AND CEO

He’s been dealing with finance for almost 35 years and is a board member in different companies in the industrial and service sectors.

He started his career as stockbroker and worked in the governing bodies of Rome Stock Exchange.

Then, he became the CEO of Borsaconsult SIM SpA (1991), the main stock broking firm in southern Italy, and of Vertis SpA (2001), as well as the exclusive advisor of Interbanca Gestione Investimenti SGR for the closed-end fund “Interbanca Investimenti Sud”.

In 2007 he founded Vertis SGR, a closed-end investment company, and is now its CEO.

Moreover, he’s been professor of Stock Exchange Techniques and Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences of Università del Sannio for almost 20 years.

He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Vice President of the Venture Capital Committee of AIFI (the Italian Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt Association) and the chairman of the Finance Committee Private Equity and Venture Capital of the Order of Chartered Accountants in Naples.

Amedeo earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Naples Federico II and is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.

Renato Vannucci

CO-FOUNDER AND VICE PRESIDENT

He’s been dealing with finance for more than 30 years and is a board member in different companies operating in the industrial and service sectors.

He started his career as floor trader at a brokerage firm of Naples Stock Exchange.

Subsequently and until 1999, he was a board member of Macrofit SIM and then Borsaconsult SIM, as well as the member of different technical committees of Assosim (Associazione Intermediari Mobiliari).

Before being the co-founder of Vertis SGR SpA (March 2007), Renato was the president of the Scouting Committee of Vertis SpA, the exclusive advisor of IGI SGR for the closed-end fund “Interbanca Investimenti Sud”, with the aim of identifying the best investment opportunities.

Giancarlo di Luggo

BOARD MEMBER

He is an entrepreneur and director of various companies active in the industrial and service sectors linked to the family business group. He immediately joined the aforementioned Group, made up of about thirty subsidiaries and associates that operate in diversified businesses that have allowed him to acquire experience and know-how in various areas related to the construction and real estate sector, to pleasure boating. up to the hotel and restaurant sector.

Giancarlo is Director of the Dielle Holding, President of Eng. Loy Donà and Brancaccio LDB (construction branch), Sinergie Immobiliari (real estate development branch) and Drav (catering branch), CEO of Fiart Cantieri Italiani (real estate management branch) and of Fiart Mare (nautical branch); he is also a member of the administrative bodies of subsidiaries and affiliates of the family group and holds positions within the ANCE (National Association of Building Builders).

Previously, since its foundation, until 2021, he was a director of Vertis, before being re-elected to the board appointed in May 2022.

Giancarlo has a degree in Economics and Commerce from the Federico II University of Naples and is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.

Giovanni Maggi

INDIPENDENT BOARD MEMBER

He is an entrepreneur, President of Assofondipensione and of the Technical Welfare Committee of Confindustria Nazionale, Vice President of Futura Invest, independent Director of Banca Profilo. He has many years of experience in the finance sector sitting on various Boards of Directors, Advisory Boards and Investment Committees. In particular, he is a member of the Technical Scientific Council of FeBAF (Federation of Insurance and Finance Banks) and of the General Council of AIFI (Italian Association of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt). Giovanni is also a freelance journalist.

Before joining the Vertis board, Giovanni was Deputy Vice President of the Enasarco Foundation and President of Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio.

Giovanni boasts a master’s degree in Business Management and has completed courses in Business Administration and Marketing at the Bocconi University in Milan.

Monica Valentino

INDIPENDENT BOARD MEMBER

She has twenty years of experience as a chartered accountant and statutory auditor and has always carried out tax, corporate and accounting consultancy for medium and large companies at Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati.

Previously, Monica worked to a greater extent at Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati, where she grew up to hold the position of Partner, mainly dealing with activities related to tax and corporate consultancy and for PwC as an Auditor, assisting companies active in various sectors.

Monica graduated in Economics and Commerce from the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.

Sergio Beretta

President of the Board of Auditors

Expert in corporate governance, internal control systems and strategic planning, he’s been a manager at Eni, Generali and Unicredit for more than 15 years.

Since 2009, he has been working as director and statutory auditor in private and public companies; he’s also a member of the supervisory bodies and is responsible for compliance, risk management and internal audit of listed, financial and insurance companies.

Before becoming the president of the board of auditors (May 2016), Sergio was chairman of the administrative board (December 2011) of Vertis and was appointed as judicial commissioner of special administration procedures by the Ministry of Economic Development.

Sergio earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Rome La Sapienza, is a chartered accountant and auditor, as well as the inspector of the Italian Football Association Gioco Calcio.

Aurelio Fedele

Member of the Board of Auditors

He has been in charge of auditing and accounting organization for 35 years and is a director of various companies operating in the industrial and service sectors.

Aurelio was a lecturer in Business Economics at the University of Naples Federico II, at the University of Naples “Parthenope” and at the Luiss University in Rome on the analysis, review and certification of the financial statements.

Before working as statutory advisor for Vertis (May 2019), Aurelio for over thirty years was senior partner and responsible for the Center-South of PriceWaterhouseCoopers within the Audit area assisting financial companies, payment institutions and other operating subjects in the financial, industrial and service sectors.

Aurelio earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Naples Federico II and is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.

Fabrizia Pellone

Member of the Board of Auditors

Has about ten years of experience as a chartered accountant and business consultant and carries out consultancy activities for the internationalization of companies at Grimaldi Studio Legale.

Previously, Fabrizia worked for Studio Associato Pellone and for Tax & Advise, respectively carrying out activities related to corporate reorganizations and extraordinary transactions.

Fabrizia has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Naples Federico II and a Master in Corporate Finance and Banking from Il Sole 24 Ore – Business School. Fabrizia is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.
